As part of the efforts to raise awareness on climate change towards mitigating its consequences, the Glow Initiative for Economic Empowerment organized a 7 day advocacy leveraging on the new media and promoted awareness about Climate change. The Green Week and Climate Online Campaign was a 1 week, 7 days and 168 hours of knowledge transmission on key social media platforms featured topics like overview of climate change, green houses gases, importance of environmental protection, green hour radio show, effects of climate change on health, kids awareness on climate change and tree planting as a way of mitigating climate change.
Glow Initiative for Economic Empowerment is a non-governmental organization that is set up to harness the economic potentials of communities. It seeks to tackle economic problems such as unemployment, poverty and climate change through exploiting and utilizing raw talents and resources of communities and through education to curb climate illiteracy. Our whole goal is to boost the economic development of Nigeria by pioneering investments in SMEs creation and training, agriculture and renewable energy.
